Van olympisch goud tot de eerste meters op de Bosbaan: in de zomer van 2026 verandert Amsterdam in het wereldwijde epicentrum van de roeisport.
Van 24 tot en met 30 augustus verzamelen โs werelds beste roeiers zich in het Amsterdamse Bos voor de 2026 Staatsloterij World Rowing Championships. Meer dan 1.200 para- en elite-atleten uit ruim zestig landen strijden om wereldtitelsโaangemoedigd door een gepassioneerd thuispubliek, omringd door natuur en pal naast de bruisende Zuidas. Een unieke mix van topsport, traditie en wereldwijde verbinding.

Between training sessions, Rik and Ralf Rienks spend every Sunday restoring an old Norwegian rescue boat in a shed near the Bosbaan. A true brothersโ project alongside their work in the pair without.
After missing the A-final at the World Championships in China, their focus is already shifting forward.
